A mock interview involves your voice, your answers and often your CV. This page sets out what we collect, why, and how to get it removed. It is written to be read, not to be skipped.
Who we are
mangoose.tech is operated by a founder-led team based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. The company is not yet incorporated. For anything on this page, write to support@mangoose.tech.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address, and your name and profile photo if you sign in with Google. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we do not store your password.
- Onboarding answers. The role you are targeting, the companies you are preparing for, and your chosen practice plan.
- Your CV, if you upload one. We use it to make the interview questions relevant to your background. Uploading it is optional.
- Interview audio and video. A live round streams your microphone, and your camera if you turn it on, so the interviewer can respond in real time.
- What you produce during a round. The transcript of what was said, the code you write in the editor, and the diagram you draw on the whiteboard.
- Reports. The assessment generated from the round, and your history of past rounds.
- Basic technical data. Server logs such as IP address, browser type and timestamps, kept for security and debugging.
Why we hold it
- To run the interview and generate your report.
- To show you your past rounds and track progress across them.
- To keep your account secure and to investigate abuse.
- To process payments for paid plans.
- To fix the product when something breaks.
Who processes it
We use third-party services to run the product. Each receives only the data it needs for its function:
- Google Firebase — account authentication and application data.
- Google Cloud — hosting for the website and backend services.
- LiveKit — the real-time audio and video connection during a round.
- Google Gemini — the language and speech models that conduct the interview and produce the report.
- Razorpay — payment processing. Razorpay collects your card or UPI details directly through their own hosted checkout; those details never reach our servers.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep it
Account details, transcripts and reports are kept while your account is open, so that your interview history stays available to you. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your personal data and interview content, other than what we are required to retain for tax or legal reasons.
Your choices
- You can request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- You can ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
- You can ask us to delete your account and its contents.
- You can use the product without uploading a CV, and without your camera on.

Children
mangoose.tech is intended for people preparing for jobs and internships. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will also be sent to the email address on your account.
